Heaven Gaia: A Bespoke Shop With a Twist

Revolutionizing Retail Space: A Tribute to Fashion Masters and Eastern Elements

Designed by Zhenhua Luo, Gongpu Zhao, and Yanli Zhang, the Heaven Gaia store is a testament to the brand's global activity and unique characteristics. The 800 sqm space, located in Beijing's art district, is a careful reflection of the brand's art and the unique characteristics of its founder, Ms. Xiur. The design team has managed to encapsulate both grace and power in the store's design, reminiscent of fashion masters of a past era.

The store's unique features include a spiral staircase in the lobby, which can transform into a catwalk, paying tribute to Coco Chanel. This innovative design allows the lobby to shift from a sales mode to a show mode, creating a dynamic and interactive shopping experience. The design also incorporates Eastern elements, with wood and water symbolizing the East. The "waterfall" serves as a backdrop for the clothing, simulated using new digital technology.

The store's design also addresses the time-consuming process of bespoke dressmaking and outfit selection. The designers have strived to make this experience pleasant, creating a space that is not just a store, but a tribute to fashion and art. The store also features two types of window displays, creating an interaction between the interior and the exterior, further enhancing the shopping experience.

The Heaven Gaia store was realized using digital simulation of waves, cast concrete, and CNC. The project, which started in April 2019 and was completed in December 2019, faced several challenges. The designers had to create a classic space that reflected Ms. Xiur's grace, power, and unique characteristics. They also had to make the bespoke dressmaking and outfit selection process enjoyable.

The store's design has been recognized with a Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020. The award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The Heaven Gaia store, with its unique design and innovative features, certainly fits this description.
